How you can participate in Ecorun India
The biggest help Ecorun asks is from motorists. Please reduce the speed of the vehicle when passing the runner. And do not sound the horn! We would also want motorists to give the runner a wide berth. That is, do not drive too close to the runner. However, in your zealousness to give room to the runner, please do not stray on to the adjacent lane of the road and injure yourself!
You can also help by donating money. Giving financial help is a lot, lot easier than running ultra-long distances to create awareness for a cause. If you do not donate, no one will know nor will anyone chide you. But the continued burning of plastic will steal your health - and that of others - slowly and invisibly at first. The funds collected will be used to pay the debt remaining from Ecorun 2010 as well as to continue Ecorun India's awareness campaigns in future.No part of your donation will go to the runners nor to the organizers.
